This is AM I? Mental Health Apps (“AM I?”) privacy policy that applies to its website (am-i-mentalhealthapp.com), its AM I? phone apps, and its AM I? enterprise software. This document explains AM I?’s policies for the collection, use and disclosure of personal information. AM I? abides by applicable privacy legislation.
The standalone AM I? phone apps store information input by users on the phone. AM I? does not see or store or back up that data. AM I? does not know who has downloaded and used its Software apps unless the individual contacts AM I? for technical support. If the user’s phone app has been supplied by a health care provider that uses the AM I? enterprise software, the app will communicate certain information from the app to the health care provider. The details, permissions, and security for that are the responsibility of the health care provider.
The phone app does not require a password or other authentication to access it from the user’s phone. Users should password protect their device to keep their information private from other people who might have access to their phone.
For the website, like most website operators, AM I? collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. AM I?’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how AM I? visitors use its website. From time to time, AM I? may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.
To enrich and perfect your online experience, AM I? uses “Cookies”, and similar technologies and services provided by others to display personalized content, appropriate advertising and store your preferences on your computer.
A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. AM I? uses cookies to help AM I? identify and track visitors, their usage of the website, and their website access preferences. AM I? visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using AM I?’s website, with the drawback that certain features of AM I?’s websites may not function properly without the aid of cookies.
By continuing to navigate our website without changing your cookie settings, you hereby acknowledge and agree to AM I?’s use of cookies.
This information is used only to provide and support the phone apps and software.
AM I? may use aggregate or anonymous information which will not be linked to identified individuals for various other uses for itself and third parties.
AM I? does not share personal information with any third parties except as disclosed in this policy. AM I? may provide personal information to its consultants, subcontractors and professional advisers (which shall be bound by privacy obligations) to assist AM I?’s uses disclosed herein.
Personal information is protected by security measures appropriate to the nature of the information.
Individuals may review, alter, and delete their personal information contained in the AM I? app at any time.
AM I? may amend this policy from time to time by posting an updated version on our website. If such amendments affect how AM I? uses or discloses personal information already held by AM I? in a material way, AM I? will obtain consent.
This policy was last updated on August 14, 2019.
Notwithstanding the general terms of this policy, the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information may be made outside of the terms herein to the extent provided for in any applicable privacy or other legislation in effect from time to time, or pursuant to court orders.
